Renaming to IIH Essentials

To emphasize that Data Service is a component of IIH, the names of both apps have been harmonized in Version 1.8.

  • The Edge app "Data Service" has been renamed "IIH Essentials".
  • "IIH mode" has been renamed "Integrated Mode".
  • The Edge app "IIH Core" has been renamed "IIH Semantics".
  • The Edge app "IIH Configurator" has been renamed "Common Configurator".

When updating from Data Service <=1.7.0 to 1.8.0, the app name will automatically change to IIH Essentials. Everything will continue to work as previously. No further steps are required.

The URL on the IED /Dataservice is deprecated and will be available in versions released within the next year. Take prompt action to change the paths to the new path /iih-essentials

The address for the internal Docker routing is not affected by this change and is still edgeappdataservice.

Senseye synchronization

The "Senseye" service is available as a data destination in Version 1.8.

The asset model and time-series data can be synced to the AI-powered predictive maintenance and asset intelligence solution.

Request data of multiple variables with unsynced time ranges

The raw data read API allows requesting multiple variables simultaneously, with synchronized time ranges to optimize display. However, for use cases that don’t require this, an option to request variables with independent time ranges has been added.
