What's new in IIH Essentials V1.4?

Release date

2022-08-15

Major performance improvements

IIH Essentials has been optimized using more suitable technologies, eliminating previous bottlenecks and boosting performance significantly over V1.3.0.

Pre-aggregate variables to reduce calculation response times

Setting up an aggregation when creating a variable in IIH Essentials can significantly enhance performance by pre-calculating data. These pre-calculated aggregations are utilized during queries, drastically reducing query duration.

IIH integration: Run IIH Essentials in integrated Mode

The IIH Essentials can be switched into integrated mode where the model is retrieved from the IIH and configuration is possible in IIH Configurator. The IIH Essentials itself is used to store/manage the live data as time-series-data and provide it via the already known API interface.

As of version 1.4, there are two modes for IIH Essentials:

  • Standalone IIH Essentials
All functions including user interface available
  • Integrated IIH Essentials in IIH (Industrial Information Hub)
IIH Essentials no longer has its own user interface. Data retention for assets and variables can now be set directly in the IIH.

Caution

In version 1.4.0 all existing data will be lost if integrated mode is activated. An automatic migration will be available starting from version 1.5.0.
